The Android version of menetrendek.hu website is an online shared search engine for regional buses, trains, and ships in Hungary, including Lake Balaton. The application is also the official search engine for Volán companies. It provides search functionality between more than 20,000 stops of Volán, MÁV, and Bahart, covering all municipalities in the country.

The software is capable of searching for connections between stops and municipalities. The input field provides results for both complete and partial matches. For example, by entering "bp st", the software can display "Budapest, Stadion autóbusz-pályaudvar". The software can also provide departure and arrival schedules for a specific stop. To do this, it is enough to fill in one input field and perform a search.

The software can determine the departure stop using the phone's built-in GPS. When searching for a stop, by touching the position indicator in the input field, you can find the nearest stop within a distance of 1500 meters. It displays results in advance according to the time interval specified in the settings, starting from the given time.

The search results list can be fine-tuned using the "SETTINGS", similar to the web version. You can sort the results by departure and arrival time, travel time, ticket price (currently only available for Volán searches), and number of transfers. The transfer times and maximum walking distance can also be specified.

The last 20 queries are automatically saved and can be accessed from the "HISTORY" menu. The most recent queries can be viewed in the history even without internet connection and can be updated if there is a connection. The history can also be cleared. The ability to search for any day ensures that we can save weekday and weekend schedules in one table.

From the search results list and the departure schedule, a map can be accessed by touching the map icon in the detailed information after selecting a route. When the map is displayed, the departure and arrival stops, as well as the route, are visible. By tapping on the stop name indicator, the stop information can be accessed. If the location services are enabled, the GPS position of the phone is also displayed on the map.

For those who travel by train or bus and cannot be near a computer to check the schedule, this application is designed to provide travel information quickly, simply, and with minimal data usage.
